The love of a dog
I saw in the depths of your eyes and your gaze The love that you can't read anywhere That you would like to say but you can't Often I saw tenderness But also sadness For a reproach that you didn't deserve Or simply that you didn't understand But I saw there above all the love that you give me day after day A love that asks for nothing but a caress on the hand I know well that you are only a dog But your love is well worth that of humans You give without even asking for your life if necessary Then me, I dare say I love you That I love you as much as a human Even if they say you're just a dog One day, alas! you will leave Death, one day, will take you away ¿ Then just thinking about it My heart starts to regret Not knowing how to tell you the words That you would not understand But that I hope, in my eyes That day, you will read... And that I, poor human being, will be able to make you understand a man's Love for his "dog".
